Wealth & Business Counselling and Personal Psychotherapy in the City of London

Wealth Counselling

I have been in practice as a wealth counsellor with high net worth individuals in the UK and abroad for two decades.

At its core, wealth counselling is a unique type of therapy for people who are experiencing complications in their lives as a result of wealth or who may want to gain clarity and consider different perspectives over issues that wealth can bring.

You may inherit a significant sum before you expect to, which can result in a bereavement process being made all the more complex. Or, your contemporary financial position may bring earlier held values and beliefs about your life into question. Perhaps you are making a lucrative exit from a business and wish to talk through the changes that might now be present in your life.

These are just a few examples of when people may seek out wealth counselling. There are others.

Wealth certainly has its benefits, but it does not eradicate the emotional and psychological challenges that are part of the human experience. Sometimes it adds to them.

I work with my clients to create a safe, confidential and trusted environment where they can share their most truthful feelings. This human connection lessens the isolation and confusion that can accompany wealth. You can read more about wealth counselling here.

Business counselling for big career decisions

Many of us are familiar with coaching in a business setting, but not necessarily counselling. There is a difference.

Whereas coaching has its focus entirely on career, in my practice as a business counsellor my focus is twofold. I help my clients consider problems and make big decisions that intersect their careers/businesses and their personal lives.

You might work with me as you consider a major career move or the sale of a business. They can give rise to a number of questions about what comes next.

In considering retirement you may want to understand more about how to approach this new stage in your life as you account for the purpose, status and friendships that your career has brought you.

Another theme I see often in my business counselling practice is finding better ways to navigate relationships with clients, key colleagues or the Board.

These are just a few examples. Business counselling can look at these big questions and empower you to create different perspectives. This can lead to a new chapter that is assured and life-affirming.

Everything shared in my practice is confidential. As you are away from clients and colleagues, you can be entirely authentic. I act as your sounding board. My own background, prior to becoming a psychotherapist, was in business and I draw on this experience too in my work.

You are likely to be extremely close to your work and sometimes it’s impossible to see the wood for the trees. By taking a deep breath, reflecting and considering your situation, together we can find a way through.

Psychotherapy for Personal Issues

I am a highly experienced psychotherapist and counsellor who can help you with personal issues such as low self-esteem, troubled relationships and anxiety and support you to navigate crises like divorce and bereavement. Or to delve deeper into your life, gain insights and understand more about who you are.

In a supportive and pragmatic way I will help you to unravel the issues, relocate the bigger picture when you’re caught up in detail, remind you who you are when you’ve lost sight of yourself, empower you to make change and help you to plan the best course of action.

Please see my list of ‘Issues’ to give you some examples of the personal matters I work with.
