Counselling & Therapy for Stress, Anxiety & Panic Attacks In London

Stress and anxiety are major reasons for people to seek counselling. You may feel ongoing physical tension in your muscles or suffer from frequent headaches. Perhaps you are having unexplained recurring bouts of chronic illness, you may be distracted and unable to focus on what you want to be doing.

One of the symptoms that bring a lot of people to counselling for stress and anxiety is panic attacks. Dizziness; lightheadedness; feeling that the ground is moving beneath you; inability to breathe properly; palpitations; visual disturbance and urgency to pass water are some very common symptoms. The desire to get away from the situation you are in and seek the comfort and safety of a familiar place can feel paramount.

Panic attacks can be alarming to experience but they are in fact not dangerous. They are however, your body’s way of letting you know that stress and anxiety are too high and that something, perhaps an emotional issue, needs to be confronted and addressed. The aim of counselling for stress and anxiety will be to help you decrease the severity of the panic attacks and explore with you what is underpinning them.

If you would like to discuss your stress, anxiety or panic attack issues, then please email me to arrange an appointment.
